The ELM mobile solvent disposal unit is designed for the collection of halogenated (stainless steel collection tanks) and non-halogenated (PE collection tanks) liquid hydrocarbons (generally: solvents).
The mobile, compact design of the solvent disposal station makes it possible to visit several small collection points for solvents at the extraction point and feed them into the overall solvent collection system without posing a risk to staff.
Once the collection tank of the mobile solvent disposal unit is full, the solvents can be pumped off at a central collection point. The system consists of a stainless steel trolley with a mounted PE-el collection tank/stainless steel collection tank, a fitted pneumatic feed pump with connected media lines, and an electrical control unit mounted on the front.
Once the equipotential bonding, compressed air connections and ventilation have been connected, the collection tank is emptied using the electric pump. Automatic shut-off occurs when the collection tank is full (indicated by a warning light) or after 10 minutes at the latest. Emptying the collection tank in the trolley is carried out in reverse by changing the switch position.
Maintenance:
Monthly inspection of all hoses, connections and seals. Six-monthly full maintenance of the mobile solvent disposal unit by authorised specialist personnel.
Functionality:
The mobile solvent disposal unit consists of the following components:
Container made of PE-el for non-halogenated solvents.
Stainless steel tank for halogenated solvents
The hose, type PCL-0, is suitable for halogenated and
non-halogenated solvents for continuous use at
ambient temperature (20°C); at 40°C, only for short-term use.
Trolley with control unit and connections
Wastewater connection:
shared connection socket d=50 mm PVC
Electrical connections:
Power supply 230 V/50 Hz AC
Note: Only solvents listed as suitable in the compatibility list may be pumped out. In the case of solvent mixtures, it must be checked whether, for example, the compatibility of the containers and hoses is reduced due to chemical reactions between the components.
