MKWHeat recovery systems for industry, up to 10,000 m³/h
Compact plastic heat exchanger with integrated fresh air supply system and connection to the exhaust air system.
How heat recovery/waste heat utilisation works:
The compact heat recovery unit, type MKW, is a chemically resistant cross-flow heat exchanger for industrial use that utilises the contaminated, warm exhaust air from fume cupboards and hazardous substance cabinets to heat the incoming outside air. The heat recovery unit is integrated into a weatherproof enclosure with a sturdy frame construction made of aluminium profiles and double-walled, sound- and heat-insulated cover plates. The operating sides are easily accessible via doors and panels with quick-release fasteners for installation and maintenance work.
The fully-fledged supply air system, integrated into the compact housing together with the heat exchanger replaces the extracted contaminated air with 100% heated, filtered fresh air. Thanks to the achieved efficiency of over 60%, a reduced, built-in hot-water heating coil, connected to the on-site hot-water heating system, is sufficient to compensate for the temperature difference. Optionally, an additional cooling coil can also be installed for air conditioning of the outside air.
The high-performance PP radial fan, type: ML/MM, with an efficiency of over 83%, draws the exhaust air from the sources of harmful gases in the rooms up to the roof and discharges the exhaust air vertically into the open air at a nominal flow rate of over 7 m/s.
System sizes manufactured to date:
MKW 2500 up to max. 2,500 m3/h

MKW 7500 up to max. 7,500 m3/h
MKW 10000 up to max. 10,000 m3/h
The system consists of the following components:
Cross-flow heat exchanger made of PE
Frequency-controlled supply air fan with flow rate measurement device on the fan
Supply air pre-filter with pressure gauge and differential pressure switch
Supply air post-filter with pressure gauge and differential pressure switch
Louvered damper
Hot water heating coil
Empty space for optional cooling coil
Condensate drain
Frequency-controlled exhaust air fan made of PPs, ML series
Exhaust air deflector hood made of PPs with rain collar
Repair switch for supply and exhaust air fan
Pre-wired terminal box with wiring diagram for all installed field devices. (Shielded motor cables of the fans must be connected directly.)
