Industrial exhaust air scrubbers / column scrubbers

Column scrubbers for industrial use: modular design for integration into ventilation systems

Column scrubbers are devices used to clean exhaust air from electroplating or chemical processes. They remove undesirable components, such as acids, ammonia, solvents and sulphur compounds, from a gas stream. In the electroplating industry, metal layers are deposited onto substrates to protect them, decorate them or impart other functional properties.

The selection of a suitable air scrubber for electroplating and industrial applications depends on various factors, including the type of electroplating processes, the chemicals used and the volume of exhaust air to be treated. Our column scrubbers are constructed from PE, PP, PVC or PPs plastic.

Function of industrial exhaust air scrubbers:

Exhaust air scrubbers remove particles from the exhaust air generated during the electroplating process. Depending on the chemicals used in the baths, harmful gases may be produced. To absorb and neutralise these gases, an industrial exhaust air scrubber is installed in the exhaust air system.

To this end, the scrubber is equipped with various filter and cleaning systems, which reliably remove the harmful substances from the exhaust air. For example, through chemical absorption, adsorption or physical filtration.

The use of exhaust air scrubbers in industry helps to ensurecompliance with environmental regulations and thus reduces the release of pollutants into the atmosphere. This ensures that production is as environmentally friendly as possible.
