Plastic demisters

Plastic demisters for exhaust air in the electroplating or chemical industry

Industrial droplet separator

What is a demister?

Demisters separate liquid droplets from air and gas streams by means of controlled changes in direction and separation profiles. High-quality plastic demisters offer high separation efficiency with low pressure drop, corrosion resistance and easy cleaning.

Key features

  • Materials: PP, PPs, PE, PVC-U, PVDF, silicone-free (acid-resistant and alkali-resistant)
  • Designs: horizontal and vertical installation
  • Advantages: compact design, long service life, easy maintenance

Special demisters for ventilation systems in the electroplating industry, paint shops, coating plants and the chemical industry must be alkali-resistant or acid-resistant and separate aggressive vapours and gases. They are therefore manufactured from plastics such as PP, PPs, PE, PVC-U and PVDF. The selected plastics are silicone-free and resistant to a wide range of solvents. Our high-performance droplet separators are available for horizontal and vertical flow.

The separation process is based on the principle that liquid droplets have greater inertia compared to the gas carrying them. To achieve this, the air or gas flow undergoes multiple changes of direction via specially shaped separation profiles.

As a manufacturer of plastic systems, we are able to respond specifically to your requirements and support you with technical advice and customised production of your droplet separator.
We tailor your exhaust air system with droplet separator specifically to the on-site conditions and your specifications, and take care of the training and maintenance of your exhaust air systems.
Please get in touch with us so that we can arrange a consultation. If you send us data or images of your system in advance, we can put you in touch with our relevant staff or engineers straight away.

Plastic demisters:

We develop and manufacture highly efficient droplet separators:

Our product portfolio includes various types of droplet separators depending on the flow direction and separation efficiency. The flow direction can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal. The function is fundamentally based on primary and secondary separation. Primary separation occurs through the inertial forces of the droplets in the gas stream, whilst secondary separation removes the liquid film from the separation fins.

The separation unit can be cleaned either via a spray system activated at regular intervals or manually as required.

Droplet separators are used in various sectors, including electroplating, process engineering, ventilation and air conditioning, exhaust air scrubbers and air coolers. Depending on the application, temperature and gas composition, we offer a range of plastics such as PPs, PPs-el, PP, PVC, PVDF, PE and PE-el.
