Gas scrubbers for laboratories
MAASS plastic gas scrubber in a floor-standing design
Details:
The laboratory exhaust air scrubber in a vertical design,
MAASS laboratory gas scrubber can be connected as an additional unit alongside the fume cupboard. The scrubbing principle, utilising a newly developed bell-shaped base, is characterised by particularly high efficiency with very low water and energy consumption.
The scrubbing principle:
The water, acting as the scrubbing fluid, is distributed across the bell-shaped base by a maintenance-free, low-noise circulation pump. The air extracted by the fume cupboard is passed through this bell-shaped base and, in combination with the washing water, creates a very strong bubbling effect, through which separation efficiencies of up to 96% of pollutants are achieved.
How it works:
The MAASS-type gas scrubber operates fully automatically and is virtually maintenance-free. The laboratory gas scrubber is controlled via a compact programmable logic controller. The filling and topping up of the wash water takes place automatically via a level control system, which also provides start-up and dry-run protection for the pump. The contaminated wash water is discharged via a motorised ball valve with a large, unobstructed cross-section (standard version).
The equipment variants:
The MAASS laboratory exhaust air scrubber is available in several variants:
- Conductivity monitoring
The electrical conductivity of the water is continuously monitored. The wash water is discharged when a preset limit value is reached. - pH monitoring
Discharge occurs when a preset pH value is reached. - pH control
The wash water is neutralised using a pH dosing system, so that it can be discharged from the laboratory exhaust air scrubber into the sewage system with a neutral pH.
The results:
The MAASS laboratory exhaust air scrubber achieves above-average pollutant removal rates. This has been confirmed on multiple occasions by an independent, state-accredited institute.
