MKW 700 Laboratory heat recovery with heat exchanger

Laboratory Heat Exchanger & Industrial Heat Recovery MKW

Compact heat recovery system with integrated fresh air supply unit for laboratories

Function of the plastic laboratory heat exchangers:

The MKW-type laboratory heat exchangers are compact, chemically resistant cross-flow heat exchangers. They utilise the warm exhaust air from fume cupboards or hazardous substance cabinets to heat the incoming outside air. The exhaust air is replaced by 100% heated fresh air and warmed in the process. An efficiency of over 60% is achieved. A small hot-water heating coil, connected to the on-site hot-water heating system, is sufficient to compensate for the temperature difference.

  • Space-saving
  • Very high efficiency for plastic heat recovery (over 60%)
  • No costly installation of an external supply air unit
  • Complete chemical corrosion resistance
  • Fresh air reheating via electricity or hot water
  • ndalone system with no impact on building services supply/exhaust air or energy calcula

Laboratory Heat Exchanger

Efficient:

The compact heat recovery unit, type MKW, is a chemically resistant cross-flow heat exchanger that utilises the contaminated warm laboratory exhaust air from fume cupboards and hazardous substance cabinets to heat the incoming outside air.
The fully-fledged supply air system, including the control cabinet, integrated into the compact housing with the heat exchanger, replaces the extracted contaminated air with 100% heated fresh air. Thanks to the achieved efficiency of over 60%, a small built-in reheater is sufficient to compensate for the temperature difference.

Industrial Heat Recovery

Ready to go:

The heat exchanger with integrated supply air system is wired ready to plug in and ready for use. Once the supply and exhaust air ducts have been mechanically connected and the unit has been electrically connected to a 230V socket, the switch contact of the compact unit is controlled in parallel with the on-site exhaust fan. This is usually done via the switch-on contact of the exhaust air monitoring system. When the exhaust air monitoring system is switched on, the heat exchanger with integrated supply air system starts automatically.

  • Exhaust/supply air heat recovery for laboratories and schools
  • Capacity from 200 - 700 m³/h
